Clubscene - WordJazz

The Cave

Ingoing
into a time zone
connecting
the mind's eye
turning
up the volume
on an
out of date
sound track
restoring to life
resident specter
crouching in corners
behind the furnace
in the coal bin
and
from a low ceiling
clothes lines
reeking with dampness

a cozy cocoon
with
naughty bohemian vibes
of the 60’s
in a
funky neighborhood
situated
on the edge
of
academia
a
piquant list
of
ethnic options
to
sate
that desiring appetite

 an
expressive piano
full of
emotional power
and
abstract improvisation
a
broader range
of sound
with
beautiful melodies
and a
resonant deep voice
from
stand up bass
the
cool laid back
whispery sounds
of a muted trumpet
the
nimble and complex
interpretations
of
the voice carrying
the music
and
a harmonica
releasing
that pent up
feeling
of the blues

Alan Jones drums
Jed Wilson piano
Tom Wakeling stand up bass
Robert Moore trumpet vocals & harmonica
